Single sign-on for Virtual Institute (VI) and Knowledge@Work (K@W) portals
Beginning Tue 20 July 2004, you will be able to access both our portals, via either the Virtual Institute home page or the Knowledge@Work home page, using only one set of username and password. Here's how it may affect you:
- If you have an active VI subscription but not a K@W account, then you can continue using your VI username but with a new password. Please contact our VI Helpdesk if you have not received your new password.
- If you have both an active VI subscription and a K@W account, then you can use your K@W username and password to access both portals.
- If you have a K@W account but not an active VI subscription, then the single sign-on will not impact you in any way. Note that you can login to the K@W portal from either the K@W home page directly or the VI home page.
Online courselets
The ISS Knowledge@Work portal now has content-partner agreements with a wide range of Java- and Web services-related portals and content providers which will enable ISS to package online courselets for a variety of ICT fields. Check out our Introduction to XML for a quick taste.
